My name is Jennifer, and I am a mom to my wonderful five-year-old son, Noah. He is full of personality and has the sweetest smile. But for a long time, one part of our routine turned even our best days upside down: brushing his teeth.

My 9 year old daughter is on the autism spectrum and teeth-brushing has always been an unwanted "chore" for her. It's caused many meltdowns in the past. We tried so many different things, including the Hum Kids toothbrush, but nothing kept her interested consistently and her breath was terrible. The Brush Truce is adorable, convenient and whimsical. She LOVES it. She brushes her teeth twice a day now, if not more, because she loves it. The vibrations are soothing. The settings are easy to figure out and it's also cute. Now my kid's breath smells better and she has fun brushing her teeth. It's a little pricey, but definitely worth it.
I bought this for my 10 year old son who has moderate/severe autism to give him more independence with self care activities. I have to brush his teeth for him and always used traditional toothbrushes but when. He seems to really enjoy the process and he is learning how to do it himself without my assistance which was the goal. I am beyond happy with this item. A whole experience getting the toothbrush and using. I appreciate the great quality and different vibration settings as well as ability to turn the music on or off. The size is perfect for little hands to hold. I do wish they had more older child color/character variations to choose from but we went with the bear sky which was cute and a nice blue color.
